Rana Rajinikanth's next masterpiece begin shooting in Chennai yesterday.
Bollywood beauty Deepika Padukone is the grand dame of the South superstar Rajini in the film which will be playing a triple role.
Sonu Sood and Ileana D'Cruz is one of the other prominent members of the cast.
Produced by Eros International, the film is directed by KS Ravikumar.
The director said that filming will begin with a puja to Rajinikanth with cast and crew.
Rana is a live action magnum opus with Rajinikanth playing three roles and appeared in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu
